A Very Merry Christmas to everyone, from all of the Top Model UK team.

STOP PRESS! After a day of intensive meetings and decision making on Monday, for the first time in the history of the event, Top Model UK 2010 will be divided in to three main categories; Runway & Editorial, Commercial, and Classic 30+.

The Show Director, Geoff Cox, commented following the announcement, "We have seen so many amazing girls during the interview process that we have taken the decision to produce two major Grand Final shows, reflecting the diversity of the many aspects of professional modelling that exist".

Runway coach, professional model and Top Model UK 2010 model mentor, Danielle J, added, "It's a great idea to expand the competition and will create opportunites for some lovely girls who would have missed out on the chance of showing what they can do, under the previous format".

The two shows will take place over the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March 2010, at The Hilton Metropole, London. More details to be confirmed and announced shortly.

After another dramatic day of Grand Finalist interviews, the first stage of the Top Model UK 2010 selection process has come to an end.

Following a nail-biting interview process in Ireland (Nov 29th), Leeds (Dec 6th) and London (Dec 12th), the panel will meet again during the next 72 hours and make the difficult selection decisions.

The Top Model UK 2010 national Grand Finalists will be announced on or before Friday 18th December 2009. All interviewees will be contacted.

The 2010 selection panel interviews have kindly been hosted by The City Inn Hotel (Leeds), Avril Mawhinney/Lurgan Castle (Northern Ireland) and The Hilton Metropole (London).

Following a packed day of drama, tears, twists and turns, the Northern England/Scotland interviews in Leeds have been completed.

Selection panel judge, Sarah Swain, said following the Leeds interviews, "It was a day of drama that had everything, and we have seen some lovely girls". She added, "One entrant incredibly managed to attend her interview slot even though her house had burned down just 12 hours earlier, but then there were a few who didn't show and didn't let anyone know, which wastes everyone's time and is very selfish".

Last minute preparations for the Top Model UK 2010 LEEDS interviews are in full swing, hot on the heals of the Ireland interviews on November 29th, and ahead of the third, and final, interviews, in London, on December 12th.

Having seen a very high standard of short-listed entrants at the NORTHERN IRELAND interviews (Lurgan Castle) on November 29th, stage one of the Top Model UK 2010 Grand Finalist selection interviews is now complete.
